What is Molodri®?
Molodri® is Australia's original registered dry molasses supplement — a blend of liquid molasses and freshwater diatomaceous earth (DE) carefully converted into a free-flowing dry powder.
Designed for cattle, sheep, horses, goats, pigs and poultry, Molodri® is particularly effective during drought conditions, dry seasons, and times of stress when animals need a feed attractant and appetite stimulant to maintain condition and intake.
Why dry? Why DE?
Liquid molasses is sticky, difficult to handle, and temperature-dependent. Molodri® solves that — dry format means accurate dosing, consistent mixing, and no equipment fouling. At approximately 1.7 times the volume of liquid molasses, it distributes more evenly throughout the mix.
But what makes Molodri® genuinely different is the carrier. While other dry molasses supplements use limestone (calcium carbonate) as the carrier mineral, Molodri® uses freshwater diatomaceous earth — amorphous silica. The difference is in what the carrier contributes: limestone provides calcium, while DE provides bioavailable amorphous silica, naturally occurring trace minerals, and high absorption capacity — working with the molasses rather than simply carrying it.
What the DE carrier provides:
85–90% amorphous silica — bioavailable, supporting gut wall integrity and structural health
Naturally occurring trace minerals including iron, magnesium, and calcium
High absorption capacity — locks moisture out and keeps the product free-flowing in all conditions
Australian made. ACO certified DE.
Our diatomaceous earth is the only ACO certified DE input in Australia, sourced from our freshwater lake-origin quarry in Gatton, Queensland. Molodri® is a registered trademark and we are the original producers.
Major Benefits
Converts liquid molasses to dry powder — no sticky handling, accurate dosing, no equipment fouling
Feed attractant and appetite stimulant — effective when animals are stressed, pasture is scarce, or rations change
Masks unpalatable ingredients including urea, pre-mixes, and poor quality grain
Even distribution through the mix — approximately 1.7x the volume of liquid molasses
Bioavailable amorphous silica and naturally occurring trace minerals from freshwater DE carrier
ACO certified DE — the only certified DE input in Australia
Manufacturers
A number of Australian feed manufacturers and supplement producers incorporate Molodri® into their own products to enhance palatability and feed intake. If you're interested in using Molodri® as a manufacturing ingredient, contact us to discuss specifications, volume pricing, and supply arrangements.
Packaging
Molodri® comes in 25kg poly woven bags. Sold in pallet quantities of 40 bags (1,000kg per pallet). Minimum order: 1 pallet.
Usage
Add Molodri® to feeds at 2–10% by weight depending on animal requirements and conditions. Suitable for cattle, sheep, horses, goats, pigs and poultry.
Storage
Molodri® should never be stored in direct sunlight. A cool, dry and dark place is most suitable.
